DFB featuring fabrics from Chilewich
Now featuring signature textiles from Chilewich, DFB provides sustainable and durable products, high end manufacturing, custom design, project management and installation. DFB has been manufacturing window shades and fabric panels for over 60 years.
Chilewich was invited to design the table setting for a very intimate dinner for top donors, featuring the cuisine of Chefs Michel Richard and Brian Lewis, to benefit the Philip Johnson Glass House.

Vertical Urban Factory features the innovative architectural design, structural engineering, and processing methods of significant factory buildings from the turn of the 20th century to the present. Now, over a century after the first large factories began to dominate our cities, the exhibition poses the question: Can factories present sustainable solutions for future self-sufficient cities?

Chilewich and Freecell collaborated on the design of the centerpieces for Interior Design’s Annual Hall of Fame at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, held on December 1st, 2010.
Sandy Chilewich designed these unique knitted textiles especially for the event and Lauren Crahan and John Hartmann from Freecell designed the centerpieces that incorporate her textiles with lighting which pulled it all together. These Chilewich textiles were knit with a blend of extruded pearlescent and opaque yarns on very old ribbon machines in NYC’s Garment district! Manufactured exclusively for Chilewich.
